Part II Reading Review B

"Love never keeps a man from pursuing his personal legend. If he abandons that pursuit, it's because it wasn't true love."

I think this is important to santiago becouse when he first saw the girl at the well he was like, wow who is the lady i want to marry her. What i think about this topic is that if you really found the person you love you will not want to hand it up.

Quote Conversation #3

"Becouse its not love to be static like the desert, nor is it love to roam the world like the wind." p.150

I wonder what would happen if he had never seen the desert and stayed behind and tried to get the merchants doughter. Would he have never none true love and under stood how it really worked, becouse how when he saw the desert girl geting water from the well he forgot about the merchants doughter. He thought he heard her voice in the wind pushing farether to his legend so he could get back to her.

Quote Conversation #2

But the desert is so huge, and the horrizon so distant, that they make a person feel small, and as if he should remain silent.(P.73)

I think the author is trying to say that in such a large area there no one around to listen to you so you should remain silent.

Why do you think the desert is so huge and silent.
